SL3000 Ultrasonic Leak Detector
When water or air escapes under pressure, it creates noise that travels through the pipe structure and can be localized by listening. These sounds include audible and ultrasonic sounds. The human ear cannot hear ultrasonic sounds.
The SL3000 captures ultrasonic signals and converts them into audio signals. At the same time, the recorded audio level is displayed numerically on the screen and as a bar graph.
The SL3000 is ideal for the preventive inspection or localization of faults and leaks in exposed pressure lines and pipes, fittings, mechanical bearings, and electrical components.
Using the optionally available ultrasonic transducer, leaks can also be detected in non-pressurized systems, such as window or door frames.
Practical benefits:
- Compact and durable IP54 test device for ultrasonic measurements
- Easy Detection of Even the Smallest Leaks
- Accurate leak detection using powerful transducer technology
- These stereo headphones with exceptional noise isolation enable reliable sound localization even in the presence of loud ambient noise
- A wide selection of mountable airborne and structure-borne noise sensors for a variety of applications
- Easy-to-read backlit display showing numerical and indicative measured values
- Intuitive use of function keys combined with the ”
” feature to display the maximum value
Examples of uses:
- Leak detection in compressed air lines, as well as in steam, gas, and vacuum systems
- Perform inspections on, for example, ball, roller, or needle bearings
- Detection of Electronic Sub-Solutions in the Event of Insulation Failures
- Functional inspection of condensate drainage and valves
- Leak Tests for Non-Pressurized Systems
- The selective structural noise probe is ideal for NDT testing, such as inspecting bearing wear in rotating machine parts.
Functionality:
- Detection and Conversion of Ultrasonic Signals
- Making Ultrasound Audible
- Volume level display on the screen
- MAX function
- Variable Contrast Setting (Screen)
- Auto-off feature
