Product Description
Modular measurement system for measuring humidity and indoor climate
The T4000 is a professional measuring device with interchangeable sensors for measuring humidity, climate, and wood moisture content, as well as for detecting leaks. The modular system replaces several individual devices with a single base unit that can be adapted to specific sensors.
Professional multifunctional measuring device for the following measurements:
- Humidity and Air Temperature
- dew point
- Absolute humidity
- Special humidity
- airflow
- Materials, Wood, and Building Moisture
- Moisture Distribution with Up to 2,000 Measurement Points
- Moisture at depths of up to 30 cm
- Leaks with H₂ tracer gas
One device instead of many
Say goodbye to having to use multiple devices. The T4000 is a base unit with interchangeable sensors—just attach the appropriate sensor, and you’re ready to go. Monitor indoor climate today; check for water damage tomorrow; measure wood moisture the day after—all with a single device.
Thanks to the quick-connect system you can replace sensors in seconds without any tools. No more screws—just attach, click into place, and measure.
What the T4000 Can Do
Two-Tone Microwave Measurement
Using its newly developed microwave sensor, the T4000 measures two depths simultaneously with each measurement (up to approximately 10 cm and up to 30 cm). For example, in the case of a damp basement wall, it is immediately apparent whether the moisture is coming from the outside (a defective seal) or from the inside (condensation). This prevents misdiagnosis and saves time and money on diagnostics.
Detection of H₂ tracer gas
The detection function is built into the device. Combined with an optional H₂ tracer gas sensor, it enables professionals to locate hidden pipe leaks beneath screed or within walls.
Climate Sensors with Heating
Climate sensors have a built-in heating function that allows them to clean themselves, for example, in the event of clogging. This reduces the need for maintenance and regular repairs.
Over-the-Air Updates
Software updates can be installed wirelessly via Bluetooth or a microSD card. This allows you to access new features and sensor support without having to send your device in for service.
Virtually unlimited storage space
The internal memory can be expanded with a microSD card. This enables long-term data logging for years—practically unlimited storage capacity for continuous monitoring tasks.
Three Methods for Measuring Material Moisture in a Single Device
The T4000 offers three different measurement methods for determining the moisture content of materials, depending on your needs:
Capacitive Measurement provides an indicative reading of moisture levels up to a depth of 4 cm. Simply place the sensor on the surface and read the value—no drilling required. Ideal for quick checks on large areas.
Dual-frequency depth measurement uses microwave technology to measure depths of up to 30 cm—and simultaneously detects two depths. This allows you to immediately determine whether hidden moisture is a surface issue or a deeper problem.
Measurement of Electrodes provides recommended results for building materials and accuracy values that comply with standards, especially for wood. With more than 200 stored wood species and automatic temperature compensation, you get measurement values that are ready to use.
For T3000 users
If you’re already using the T3000: your existing sensors will continue to work with the T4000—and vice versa! With optional adapter cables, you can use your existing T3000 sensors with the T4000 and your new T4000 sensors with the T3000. The menu structure is familiar, so no training is required.
Areas of Application
The T4000 is suitable for water damage restoration, leak detection, testing the readiness of screed layers, checking wood moisture content, preventing mold, and building physics diagnostics, as well as for monitoring production sites and processes.
