The animal scale, measuring 1 x 2 m, is equipped with an additional cage structure for weighing animals. Since the cage can be opened from both sides, the floor scale can also be used as a walk-through scale.
The mounting frame connects the two side sections of the cage to achieve a height of 1.8 m. The floor scale is made of powder-coated steel and equipped with four IP68-rated stainless steel load cells. The step height on the slip-resistant, grooved weighing surface is only 10 cm.
The floor scale is powered by an internally mounted rechargeable battery, which provides up to 25 hours of operating time. Since the display is mounted directly on the scale frame, there is no risk of tripping over cables when the scale is battery-powered. With 28 mm-high digits, the displayed weight values are easy to read even from a distance. For restless animals, the floor scale’s animal weighing function can be used to filter out the animal’s movements. A USB interface allows weight readings to be transferred directly to a computer.
