15F Filter for UV Flashlight
The filter mount is particularly well-suited for short distances when locating leaks. This is because, in addition to the 365 nm UV light spectrum, it also emits a white light component. This can be problematic when objects are at close range and the focus is sharp, as light reflections may become visible.
The mount simply slides onto the lamp. The filter can also be locked in place using the knurled screw on the side. If necessary, the actual filter glass can be easily lifted and swiveled away from the lamp, so the filter clip does not always have to be removed.
In addition to its peak emission at 365 nm, the UV-Torchlight 15F also emits a small amount of visible light, which can be particularly useful for detecting leaks in dimly lit areas.
However, since this white light component can cause overexposure, especially when examining materials up close, the UV-Torchlight 15F can be equipped with a filter attachment that completely blocks out all visible light, so that the UV light falls within a spectral range of approximately 365. nm hits the test object.
