Compact environmental monitor for measuring particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), air temperature, and humidity
With the Trotec BQ20, you have a compact and easy-to-use environmental measuring device that allows you to record all health-related indoor climate parameters: air temperature, humidity, and, above all, dust concentration in the indoor air:
The BQ20 simultaneously measures the quantitative concentrations of fine particulate matter (PM10) and (PM2.5) in the air simultaneously; the masses of these particles are displayed directly on the screen as a mass fraction of the air in micrograms per cubic meter. In addition, a color-coded bar graph indicates the current level of particulate matter.
In addition, you can set individual threshold values on the device; if these values are exceeded, an audible alarm will immediately alert you—this is a particularly useful feature when using the BQ20 for continuous indoor monitoring.
Due to its unique combination of configurable environmental parameters—unmatched in this class of devices—the BQ20 is recommended as an indispensable tool for quickly monitoring air quality in the workplace, in public spaces, or at home.
Optical particle counter for the quantitative determination of dust concentrations E and A

To protect people’s health, many countries have established legal limit values for dust concentrations—including in the workplace.
Fine dust consists of a complex mixture of various particles and is classified into different fractions based on particle size. Dust that can be inhaled and enter the nasal cavity is called E-dust, and it defines the PM10 size fraction as all dust particles with an aerodynamic diameter of less than 10 micrometers.
The PM2.5 particle size fraction also includes all inhalable fine particles—these are also referred to as A-particles. They can penetrate the bronchi and alveoli.
The BQ20 can record these dust fractions as PM10 and PM2.5 in accordance with the internationally used PM (particulate matter) standard, and the BQ20 can display their proportions per cubic meter of indoor air numerically on its color screen. In addition, the air pollution level is displayed graphically using a bar chart. This allows you to use the BQ20 to quickly and reliably make quantitative statements about the prevailing fine particulate matter concentration at any time.
