A compressor-powered endoscope is a diagnostic tool with an integrated cleaning function. This makes the endoscope ideal for use on machine parts. Cleaning can be performed using compressed air alone or compressed air combined with water and/or cleaning agents. The nozzle through which water and air are released is located directly next to the endoscope’s camera head, allowing for very precise work. Another advantage is that the camera head is equipped with a light, which allows for precise assessment of the area being cleaned.

The endoscope cable, approximately 90 cm long, is semi-flexible, allowing it to be inserted into openings. Cleaning is performed using the trigger. Cleaning can be done with water or a cleaning agent. Because the cleaning fluid is propelled by compressed air, it is also possible to clean the machine component using only compressed air. For this purpose, a shut-off valve is installed in front of the trigger, which can be used to stop the flow of fluid. This is done simply by turning the valve. If there is still fluid in the endoscope tube from a previous use, it is blown out of the tube, allowing for cleaning without fluid.

When a diagnosis is made using an endoscope, images and videos can be saved to a microSD card. The endoscope kit includes a 4 GB microSD card. The package also includes a fluid reservoir that can be filled with cleaning fluid. The fill level of this container is also clearly visible. A compressed air connection is required to operate the endoscope. A connection pressure of 6–8 bar is needed for this. The endoscope is charged via the device’s own USB port. A car charger adapter is included so that the endoscope can be charged on the go when the battery starts to run low. However, the standard battery life on a single charge is four hours of continuous use.

The endoscope has a camera tube to which both the lighting device and the cleaning device are attached. The lighting can be controlled from the main unit’s screen. The lighting can be dimmed or turned off completely. There are three brightness levels to choose from. Unlike the endoscope cable, which has a diameter of 4.5 mm, the camera head has a diameter of 8.5 mm due to its dual functions. The endoscope cable is a semi-flexible device that is IP67-rated for protection against water, dust, and oil.
