FD Series Commercial Dehumidifier, 160–980 l/24 h
The FD Series industrial dehumidifiers are suitable for humidity control in commercial and industrial spaces. They are particularly robust and durable, and are easy to install and maintain.
They can also be installed in food storage environments or industrial processes where humidity control is required.
They feature a washable air filter and must be connected to a permanent drain.
Equipped with a built-in mechanical air dryer.
Fral’s FD-series stationary air dryers can be equipped with an optional hot-gas defrosting system featuring electronic and thermostatic controls, capable of operating at temperatures close to 0 °C.
RAAM
The structure consists of panels made of durable galvanized steel and coated with epoxy powder paint, ensuring high resistance to atmospheric conditions and harsh environments. The panels are removable to allow for quick inspection and maintenance of internal components.
COMPRESSOR
Rotary compressor (FD160) or scroll compressor (FD240 – FD360 – FD520 – FD750 – FD980), mounted on vibration dampers. Equipped with housing protection and thermal safety features.
Refrigerant Circulation
Evaporator and condenser: the coil is made of copper tubes and aluminum fins. Dryer filter, Schrader valves, minimum and maximum pressure switches. Defrost thermostat and solenoid valve in the S version.
Condensate collection tank
The tank is made of non-corrosive plastic, and the air dryer must be connected to a permanent drain to prevent the formation of double siphons. Attach a pipe with a 3⁄4″ F connection to the tank’s welded fitting.
PUMP (OPTIONAL)
A pump is available upon request.
FAN
Centrifugal fan with dual inlet, made of galvanized sheet metal with sturdy blades, statically and dynamically balanced. Protection class: three-speed fan.

HOT GAS MELTING
Allows the dehumidifier to be used in environments with temperatures as low as 3 °C. It is a special hot-gas injection system that accelerates the melting of ice that forms in the evaporator.
AIR SUPPLY
The standard configuration includes an air supply on the opposite side of the air intake, but you may also need the TOP version of the air dryer (located at the top of the machine).
AIR FILTER
The air filter that comes standard with the unit is washable and easy to replace. It is made of polyurethane and contains a high-efficiency filter.
MICROPROCESSOR
It controls the defrost cycles, the compressor timer, and the alarm board. The air dryer features step-by-step sequence control.
CONTROL PANEL AND ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL
Located on the side of the machine. IP protection rating. Manufactured in accordance with European standards 73/23 and 89/336.
TESTING
Tests are conducted to check the integrity of the cold chain. Electrical and functional tests are also performed.
TECHNICAL STANDARDS
This dehumidifier complies with European Community Directives 2006/95/EC of December 12, 2006, on the safety of low-voltage equipment; 2004/108/EC of December 15, 2004, on electromagnetic compatibility; 2006/42/EC of May 17, 2006, on the essential requirements for the safety of machinery. Conformity is declared on the basis of the following harmonized technical standards: CEI-EN 60335-2-40, CEI-EN 55014-1, CEI-EN 55014-2. We also confirm that the product has been manufactured in accordance with the applicable RoHS Directive, i.e., Directive 2002/95/EC, which was transposed by Legislative Decree No. 151 of July 25, 2005 (Article 5).
