Characteristics of natural air humidifiers:
The operating principle of natural humidification is to dry wet surfaces or filters using a fan. Moisture is released (evaporates) from the humidification filters in a manner similar to evaporation in everyday life, and therefore no visible water vapor is present. Minerals in the water (hard water) do not enter the room but remain inside the unit. Oskar recommends replacing the paper humidification filters after 2–3 months of use. The water droplets are so small that limescale particles and bacteria cannot pass through them.
When the device is not in use, the water tank should be emptied to prevent biomass (bacteria/algae) from forming in the residual water.
With natural air humidification, airborne dust also sticks to the humidification filters.
Applications for natural humidifiers:
Natural humidifiers are suitable for use both at home and in the office. At home, we recommend using a natural humidifier primarily in bedrooms, since maintaining adequate humidity is most important there, and Oskar humidifiers operate quietly and consistently.
