Effective odor control with no residuals
Using corona discharge technology, the CH-200 converts oxygen into ozone. Ozone is an unstable form of oxygen. These active molecules are unstable and seek out stable (odor-causing) molecules to which they bind, causing them to oxidize.
During the oxidation process—which is essentially combustion—odor molecules burn, rendering them harmless. The only byproduct of oxidation is oxygen. Ozone molecules are active in the air and bind to chemical or microorganism molecules in soft or porous materials such as fabrics and (car) upholstery.
This principle also includes the effect of air sterilization. Ozone molecules attack the cell walls of bacteria, mold, and viruses, effectively rendering these microorganisms harmless.
Thanks to its aluminum body, the CH-200 is very durable.
