BN35 Radio Thermostat with Timer

Consistent, comfortable temperature—reliably regulated

With the Troteci BN35 wireless thermostat, you can easily use the remote control to check whether electric heaters or air conditioners operating at specific room temperatures are turned on or off. It also allows for convenient time-based control of electrical devices equipped with an integrated thermostat.

Control the power on and off for one or even multiple devices. The radio range (in open space) is approximately 20 meters. You can control up to 100 wireless outlets (receivers) at once using a single wireless thermostat (transmitter)—as long as they are within range. With the timer function, you can also ensure a comfortable room temperature before you enter the room—ideal for bathrooms, cold kitchens, guest restrooms, hobby rooms, sunrooms, offices, and more.

It works just like this:

The BN35 kit consists of a wireless outlet and a wireless thermostat. Simply plug the wireless outlet into a wall outlet and plug your electrical device into the wireless outlet. With the wireless thermostat, you can now use the remote control to set the desired on or off temperature. The wireless thermostat measures the room temperature at its current location and turns the heating or cooling system on or off accordingly to achieve the desired room temperature. As soon as the room temperature reaches the preset level, the wireless thermostat turns off the connected electrical appliance until it is necessary to heat or cool the room again.

In addition, you can use separate or combined time controls to set on and off times in advance based on the temperature. This saves electricity and is easy on your wallet. With the BN35, you have countless possibilities!

BN35 – All Features and Specifications at a Glance:

With the wireless thermostat, you can use the heating or cooling mode to set the desired room temperature within a range of 0 °C to 70 °C, in precise 1 °C increments (or in Fahrenheit). Of course, to actually achieve the desired room temperature, the connected heating or cooling unit must have sufficient capacity. It is also possible to schedule the connected units to turn on and off at specific times.

Suitable for many heating and cooling devices
The BN35 is ideal for a wide range of heating and cooling applications . These include infrared heaters, heating plates, fan heaters, PTC ceramic electric heaters, convectors, oil radiators, air conditioners, air coolers, fans or even electric towel warmers in the bathroom. The standard maximum load of up to 3680 watts is fully supported by the BN35.

With a range of up to 20 m, the
Wireless Thermostat serves as your remote control. You can also easily control wireless outlets located farther away from your seat. The range is up to 20 meters, but there should be no obstacles that could weaken or block the radio signal.

1 wireless thermostat for up to 100 wireless outlets (
) The wireless thermostat allows you to wirelessly control up to 100 wireless outlets. The wireless thermostat simultaneously addresses all wireless outlets within a radius of approximately 20 meters. This is ideal for greenhouses or halls, for example. Compatible BN35R-type wireless outlets are available separately from Trotec as optional accessories.

Thermostat mode and timer can be combined
The thermostat mode and the timer can be used separately or intelligently combined with each other. For example, the location states that the heater should heat the room to 25 ° C on Monday from 15:00 to 17:00. The radio thermostat measures the room temperature with its integrated sensor at the scheduled time and then switches on the electric heater via the radio socket to heat the room. However, if the room has already reached the desired temperature, the heater will only start when the preset temperature drops below 25 ° C. This saves electricity and the device only heats when it is really needed. Whether at a set time or in continuous operation – with the BN35 you can always control when and to what temperature it should be heated or cooled.

Turned off in the evening and turned back on in the morning
For devices that already have a built-in thermostat, the BN35’s timer function is useful. There’s no need to leave heating or cooling devices on when you go to sleep at night. To avoid wasting energy, you can use the timer to turn off a connected device. For example, the device turns off at 10 p.m. and turns back on at 7 a.m.

6-way programmable timer
The radio thermostat can be used to preset up to 6 different automatic timer programs per day. You can define for each program on which day and at what time the timer will be automatically activated and deactivated. When selecting the days, you have 4 options: you can select one day of the week (Mon, Tue, Fri, Fri, Fri, Sat, Sun), only weekdays (Mon – Fri), only weekends (Sun – Sun) or the whole week (Monday to Sunday).

Placement Tip
A wireless thermostat always measures the current room temperature exactly where it is located. To ensure the sensor accurately registers the room temperature, pay attention to where you place the wireless thermostat. For example, a windowsill exposed to direct sunlight will be warmer than the center of the room. Fireplaces and radiators should also not be in the immediate vicinity. Therefore, you should position the wireless thermostat in a spot in the room that provides a realistic reading.

All in a nutshell
Whether portable and always within reach or mounted on the wall—the wireless thermostat’s backlit LCD screen gives you a clear overview of the current room temperature and time, battery status (2 x AA batteries), and—depending on the mode—all relevant settings, time periods, target temperatures, etc. This way, you always have an overview of the set parameters.

Frost protection function
If the ambient temperature of the wireless thermostat drops to 3°C or below, the frost protection mode is automatically activated, ensuring that the room temperature rises to 5°C to 7°C when the device is connected to the wireless socket. Unprotected water pipes from freezing in unheated rooms.

Manual control is also possible.
You can also turn the connected heating or cooling unit on or off manually by pressing the button on the wireless power outlet. In this case, the thermostat function will not be available.

Saving Electricity with the Consumer’s Permanent Shut-Off Function (OFF)
To ensure that an electrical device is truly turned off and no longer consumes electricity (is not in standby mode), the device’s power supply can be reliably disconnected from the outlet via a radio signal thanks to a 2-pole circuit breaker.

Automatic Switching from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time on
When “Daylight Saving Time” is selected, the wireless thermostat automatically switches from standard time to daylight saving time, or vice versa. This means you don’t have to worry about the biannual time change, and your preset time periods on
will be adjusted automatically. After all, it’s far from certain that daylight saving time will be abolished throughout Europe in 2021.
