Note: When the room is at its maximum size, the unit operates at the highest fan speed! What does the PM2.5 value mean?

PM2.5 refers to fine particulate matter with a diameter of less than 2.5 µm that can be inhaled. Because of their small size, these fine particles are considered a health risk, as they penetrate deeper into the respiratory tract, the cardiovascular system, and the brain, where they remain and cause damage. In the REVIHAAP project, the WHO concludes that fine particulate matter can, among other things, cause atherosclerosis, impair fetal development, and cause respiratory diseases in children.

In addition to manual control of air purification in three stages, the AirgoClean® 250 E features a smart automatic mode. Several “air quality sensors” measure air quality and the amount of airborne particles in real time to respond immediately to changes in indoor air quality.
The AirgoClean® 250 E multifunctional air quality display makes fine dust and other indoor air pollutants—which are otherwise invisible but not harmless—visible. In addition to displaying the PM2.5 value ( <2.5 µm) numerically, the optical display with colored LED lights indicates the cleanliness of the surrounding air using four color levels. Highly sensitive air quality sensors continuously measure exposure to fine dust and gaseous pollutants (VOCs). Even the slightest changes are detected immediately—allowing the system to respond instantly with customized air purification. The unit’s airflow and filter performance are fully automatically adjusted to the extent necessary to remove airborne particles from the room air as quickly as possible.

Automatic Mode and Virus Filtering:
Do not use automatic mode when using the device to filter viruses. The built-in sensors only react to air pollution from fine dust, pollen, or volatile organic compounds. The device cannot detect the viral load. It is possible that automatic mode will indicate “good” air quality even though the viral load in the room is very high. Therefore, to reduce the risk of indirect infection when filtering viruses, we recommend always setting the fan speed to meet the requirements for air circulation rate (air volume).

The AirgoClean 250 E’s aerodynamically shaped discharge fins ensure efficient distribution of fresh air indoors, resulting in comfortable, draft-free air circulation. While conventional air purifiers blow filtered air into the room only vertically, the AirgoClean® 250 E’s spiral-shaped fins distribute clean, purified air evenly throughout the room in all directions. When the ambient light level decreases—for example, when the lights are turned off or as dusk falls—the digital display dims and the fan speed decreases in automatic mode.

Filter quality display with cleaning/replacement information

The digital display features four indicators that provide information about the pre-filter and HEPA filter, so you’ll never miss the right time to clean the pre-filter or replace the HEPA filter. 2-way HEPA filter

2 DACRON® pre-filters

DACRON® is the name given to continuous fibers made from synthetically produced polyester, which, thanks to their particularly hypoallergenic properties, are ideal for use as pre-filters in air purification systems. Pre-filters made from this synthetic fiber are particularly tear-resistant, durable, and water-repellent. Even a filter made of synthetic fibers reliably removes light to moderate odors, coarse household dust, and pet hair from indoor air.
