Airbi is equipped with two filter sets, each consisting of three filters:

• The pre-filter removes dust particles, airborne lint, and synthetic fibers (such as pet hair), thereby extending the life of the HEPA filter.
• The HEPA filter is 99.97% effective at removing small, invisible (fine) dust particles, smoke, bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. The filter has been treated with antimicrobial agents to prevent the growth of mold and microorganisms.
• Activated carbon filter: Activated carbon is specially treated carbon that has the ability to bind all kinds of substances, making it a powerful absorbent. Activated carbon is characterized by its very large surface area; one gram of solid material can have a surface area of several hundred square meters. This allows it to bind a variety of harmful substances, and an activated carbon filter is effective against volatile organic compounds, cigarette smoke, and unpleasant odors.

The Airbi air purifier is equipped with a fine dust sensor that automatically adjusts its operating mode based on the measured air quality. The concentration of particulate matter is displayed on the screen as PM2.5, and the measured air quality is indicated by the screen’s color, ranging from blue (very clean) to red (very polluted).

Plasma ionization for additional air purification

In addition to filters that remove all possible particles from the air, the Airbi BI3130 also uses a plasma system that ionizes the air and combats volatile substances, odors, allergens, and microorganisms.

This ozone-free ionization system with six ionizers breaks down unpleasant odors and combats volatile substances, allergens, and microorganisms; it also has an antistatic effect, so that (fine) dust particles do not stick to walls or other surfaces but remain suspended in the air, allowing them to be filtered out by the air purifier.

This technology is also known as plasma or active air purification; pollutants are neutralized at the molecular level, in contrast to passive air purification, where filters are used to trap pollutants. The purifying effect of these ions is active throughout the entire room and even penetrates porous materials.

This process also makes the device suitable for removing odors from old or cigarette-smelling clothing, curtains, or other fabrics.
