What does the PM2.5 value mean?

PM2.5 refers to fine particulate matter with a diameter of less than 2.5 µm that can be inhaled. Because of their small size, these fine particles are considered a health risk, as they penetrate deeper into the respiratory tract, the cardiovascular system, and the brain, where they remain and cause damage. In the REVIHAAP project, the WHO concludes that fine particulate matter can, among other things, cause atherosclerosis, impair fertility, and cause respiratory diseases in children.

The AirgoClean® 350 E, a visually appealing and informative air quality display, makes indoor air quality and the number of fine airborne particles visible. The numeric display provides information on the PM2.5 value measured in the indoor air ( <2.5 µm), while the optical color LED display simultaneously indicates the cleanliness of the surrounding air using three color levels. The display of the current room temperature and humidity is particularly practical—two important parameters for health and well-being.

Thanks to continuous measurements by highly sensitive air quality sensors, the customized air purification system immediately detects any type of contamination, such as dirt, dust, fine dust, and gaseous pollutants. The air output is regulated fully automatically to filter out all airborne particles or odors directly from the room air.

Note: When the room is at its maximum size, the unit operates at the highest fan speed! To achieve the optimal combination of maximum air purification and minimal background noise, we therefore recommend that, when planning installation, the room size be approximately 30% smaller than the maximum possible. This allows the unit to ensure proper filtration even at lower fan speeds.
* Advertisements typically promote the maximum value as the “recommended room size.” To achieve a good balance between air pollution control and background noise, our recommended room sizes are based on a maximum sound level of 47 dB(A).

Additional sensors installed in the AirgoClean® 350 E also measure the current room temperature and relative humidity and display these environmental values on the screen.

With the handy IR remote control, you can conveniently and easily control all of the device’s functions and configure settings remotely—in addition to manual configuration via the control panel.

Filter Quality Display with Changes

Dual-stage HEPA filter (99.97%)

Viruses, bacteria, pollen, allergens, fine dust particles, and mold spores up to 0.3 micrometers in size are removed by two HEPA filters. Due to their high filtration efficiency (99.97%), filters of this class are used, for example, in hygiene-sensitive laboratories and in food production. Dual-carbon filter (activated carbon filter)

The additional carbon filter is ideal for all smokers. In addition to pollutants, this activated carbon filter effectively neutralizes tobacco smoke, pet odors, kitchen odors, and smoke odors, as well as formaldehyde and solvent odors from the surrounding air. 2 DACRON® pre-filters

DACRON® is the name given to fibers made from synthetically produced polyester, which, thanks to their particularly hypoallergenic properties, are ideal for use as pre-filters in air purification systems. Pre-filters made from this synthetic fiber are particularly tear-resistant, durable, and water-repellent. Even a synthetic fiber filter reliably removes light to moderate odors, coarse household dust, and pet hair from indoor air.

Ionization

The filter’s already high performance is further enhanced by fully automatic ionization. This releases negatively charged ions, whose static charge binds airborne pollen, dust, viruses, and bacteria, causing them to settle to the floor, where they are immediately sucked in and removed by the airflow from the three-stage blower. This cleans the indoor air even more effectively and also enriches it with active oxygen.

Quick and easy filter replacement

Replacing the assembled filters is just as easy as operating the AirgoClean® 350 E. The device’s covers can be removed from both sides with one hand using a tool, allowing you to visually inspect the pre-filter and HEPA filter and replace them as needed.
