The BZ07 thermo-hygrometer, which can be used as a freestanding or wall-mounted device, instantly provides you with relevant information about the current indoor climate. The large, easy-to-read 5-inch LCD screen displays both the room temperature (°C or °F) and the humidity level (%).

For your convenience, the graphical well-being indicator uses three symbols to show whether the temperature and humidity are within the optimal comfort zone. So you don’t have to interpret the exact measured values—you’ll know right away if everything is okay with your indoor climate.

The BZ07 bar chart indicator is a useful tool for managing the process, as it allows you to track temperature trends over the past 12 hours. As an added feature, the integrated weather forecast uses four graphs to show you how the weather is likely to develop. This diverse range of features is complemented by a clock and date display, as well as an alarm function with a snooze button.

Too hot, too cold, too humid, or too dry—everyone feels it differently. With the BZ07, you always have an overview of the indoor climate, and using the measured values, you can consciously adjust the conditions to make yourself feel better.

Save on energy costs with accurate information

To reduce energy costs, it’s also important to have accurate data on the indoor climate. Every degree of room temperature saved reduces energy consumption during the heating season by about 6%—and thus lowers your heating bill. However, when cooling rooms, it doesn’t always have to be that cold. Simply adjust the room temperature settings with the BZ07—it can pay for itself quickly!

Prevent Mold Before It Starts

Caution: A health risk that should not be underestimated arises in rooms where mold has already formed due to excessive humidity. To prevent this from happening to you in the first place, you should use the BZ07 to make sure in advance that the humidity isn’t too high. The first noticeable warning signs are usually damp clothing, a musty odor, mold spots on the walls, or potatoes sprouting in the basement. Mold can form at 70% humidity. And when humid air comes into contact with cold walls, condensation forms, which can quickly lead to mold spots on wallpaper and in corners. Simple ventilation is often not enough to reduce humidity in a room. For truly reliable and comfortable humidity control, we recommend dehumidifiers.

Air that is too dry isn’t particularly pleasant either; over time, it irritates the respiratory tract, skin, and eyes. With a humidifier, however, you can quickly raise the humidity to a comfortable level. Thanks to the BZ07’s clear display, you can check right away whether your actions are having an effect and whether the indoor climate is returning to normal.

Comfort is measurable

What temperature and humidity levels are actually perceived as “pleasant”? This question is answered by the so-called “comfort chart” (according to Leusden and Freymark).

This overview table clearly shows that you feel most comfortable within a temperature range of 20–22 °C and a relative humidity of 40–60%. In contrast, most people find climate conditions outside these ranges unpleasant.

A measure of well-being—it’s all clear at a glance

With the BZ07 indoor climate monitor, you can see more than just the exact temperature and humidity levels. For simplicity, you’ll also see an easy-to-understand comfort level indicator. Using the three symbols—”DRY,” “COMFORTABLE,” and “HUMID”—you can see at a glance whether the indoor climate is currently “dry,” “comfortable,” or “humid.” So when you see the “Comfort” symbol at the top of the bar graph on the BZ07 display, you can sit back, relax, and rest assured that the room has optimal climate conditions.

For this simplified classification, the temperature and humidity tolerances stored in the device largely correspond to the Leusden and Freymark comfort chart.

BZ07 – Truly Versatile

The BZ07 thermo-hygrometer measures the room temperature and relative humidity every minute. The temperature measurement range is from 0 °C to +50 °C. Relative humidity is measured in the range of 20% to 99% RH. With its integrated MIN/MAX function, the meter displays the lowest and highest daily values. The bar graph indicator helps you assess changes in room temperature. Temperature fluctuations over the past 1, 2, 3, 6, and 12 hours are displayed as a bar graph on the LCD screen. You can clearly see temperature changes within a tolerance range of +/- 3 °C.

Rain or sunshine? The weather forecast shows it

As an alternative source of information about weather conditions, the BZ07 provides you with a symbolic weather display. Based on humidity levels, four colorful icons instantly let you know whether the weather is sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, or rainy.

Convenient alarm mode with a snooze button

The otherwise completely silent BZ07 has a built-in alarm that’s perfect for use in your bedroom. The time can be displayed in either 24-hour or 12-hour format. Do you have a hard time getting up in the morning? Just press the snooze button once to stay in bed for 8 more minutes. And if the weather forecast shows a sunny day, you’ll start your day feeling motivated! You can easily switch to the calendar view on the BZ07 by pressing the “Mode” button. Instead of the time, the current date is now displayed for about 8 seconds.
