Heylo DCS-PF 1400 – Dust Control System
Includes: DCD-3.0 (Door base unit + 2x PVC sheets with hook-and-loop fasteners + carrying bag) + PF 1400 air purifier + coarse dust filter (G4) + fine dust filter (F9/M class) + replacement filter. For mold remediation, optionally equipped with an H14 HEPA filter (Class H).
Clean renovation with the Heylo DCS dust containment system. Dust removal and maintenance of negative pressure through the combination of the DCD dust containment door and PowerFilter hoses. The dust containment system is used to quickly and safely separate the work area or contaminated area from the clean area. By connecting the PowerFilter 1400 in the clean area to the DCD, negative pressure is created in the renovation area (dirty area), which prevents fine dust from spreading into adjacent rooms. As soon as the hose is directed through the opening directly to the source of dust in the renovation area, the dust extraction function is activated.
An easy-to-transport and quick-to-install dust containment system saves time, money, and hassle. Time-consuming cleanup afterward, as is the case with water-based systems, is not necessary. Simply shake out the used dust bags and filters and throw them away.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Dust Protection
What is the difference between a “white area” and a “black area”?
A “black zone” refers to a contaminated (construction site) area. Hazardous substances that may be encountered during remediation include asbestos, dust, or mold. A “white zone” refers to areas located outside the contaminated remediation zone.
To protect workers and building occupants, the clean area is separated from the contaminated area by black partition walls to prevent contamination. Air purifiers are used in the contaminated area to ensure workplace safety. The black-and-white principle is stipulated in relevant regulations, such as TRGS 524 (Protective Measures for Work in Contaminated Areas) and TRGS 519 (Asbestos: Demolition, Renovation, or Maintenance Work).
How does negative pressure work? Why do I need negative pressure in the work area?
Negative pressure in the work area prevents dust particles from entering adjacent rooms. Under negative pressure, air flows into the room (work area) only from the outside. Fine dust particles present in the air within the work area cannot escape from the area.
When should I use a dust control door (DCD), and when should I use a dust control wall (HEYWALL)?
A DCD (Dust Control Door) is a partition that replaces a room door. It separates the room with a curtain and is easy to walk through. When used in conjunction with an air cleaner designed to maintain negative pressure, the partition acts as an effective dust barrier. The air cleaner’s hoses are routed through the DCD to the source of the dust, creating a suction effect at the workstation.
HEYWALL is a dust barrier that can be used to reduce the size of large spaces or to separate renovation areas from the rest of the space. With its easy-to-install telescoping posts, the panel can be used as a vertical partition to flexibly divide a space. The flexible system allows for various configuration options: L-shaped, U-shaped, polygonal, room divider, or airlock. The system can always be reused, supplemented, and expanded. Special clamps can be used for the contact surfaces on the sides and ceiling. Here, too, the use of an air cleaner significantly increases dust resistance. When the system is used to reduce the size of rooms, the requirement for air cleaner performance (air change rate) also decreases.
