Fral FR1150T Adsorption Air Dryer
The FR Series air dryers are equipped with a high-capacity rotor wheel and are designed for larger and more complex applications than the smaller FR Series. A special design that allows for very easy access to all maintenance and installation components. The FR series is capable of ensuring the dehumidification process even under extreme conditions ranging from -20°C to +40°C and reaching a dew point of up to -60°C tdp, thereby ensuring continuous and controlled processing.
Compact design; an open design allows for extremely easy maintenance, stainless steel ensures long-term reliability, and PLC control with a display terminal. As optional equipment, the machine can be equipped with a heat recovery coil, a pre-cooling water coil, a post-cooling water coil, or a post-heating water coil. RS485 ModBus interface or other protocols, as well as other accessories or customizations upon request, or for different voltages.

How It Works
The adsorption dryer operates with two air streams: the main air stream, which is the dried PROCESS AIR, and a second, smaller air stream for regenerating the rotor material. Its two highly efficient motors, together with the fans, create separate air streams flowing in opposite directions.
PROCESS AIR is directed through a desiccant rotor, where moisture is absorbed by the desiccant on the rotor. Silica gel is used as the desiccant; this hygroscopic material can absorb several times its own weight in moisture, but always in the form of vapor and without free water. As the process air passes through the rotor, the silica gel absorbs the moisture in the air. The dry air stream is then directed from the air dryer for further processing or directly into the space to be conditioned.
PLC Control
All standard Fral adsorption dryers are equipped with PLC control. The PLC controller manages the following functions: regeneration temperature control, thermal protection, regeneration cooling time, component startup sequence, alarm reset, relative humidity or dew point control (depending on the required regulation), and pre- and post-cooling or heating control.
The user interface screen can be controlled remotely. The PLC controller is configured for external humidity control and receives analog signals from humidity sensors.
