TROTEC TAC

Continuous air pollution control and virus filtration in densely populated areas (fine aerosols containing infectious viruses such as SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, or SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19, or influenza; filter class H14 in accordance with EN 1822 ISO).

A high-frequency air purifier for effectively reducing clouds of airborne particles, viruses, and aerosols in the installation environment.

The Taci ECO-Zone air purifier is an innovative solution for creating zones of clean air with low levels of viruses and pollutants, wherever they are needed — all it needs is a power connection. Within this treatment zone, the air remains largely free of viruses, microbes, fine dust, and other airborne particulates. The TAC ECO air purifier enables the purification of large volumes of contaminated indoor air using an efficient, high-performance H14 filter in accordance with the EN 1822 standard (ISO 45H filter, ISO 29463).

Together with the integrated G4 Z-Line pre-filter system, the Trotec H14 high-efficiency filter—which complies with the EN 1822 standard—ensures the reliable removal of airborne microbes, viruses, dust, bacteria, spores, and microfibers.

In this way, TAC ECO significantly and safely reduces the risk of airborne infections in heavily frequented public places and ensures dust-free working conditions in dusty areas:

  • Protects customers, patients, visitors, and employees by significantly reducing the risk of infection
  • Protects employees from low levels of dust exposure in the workplace

In a Nutshell: The Compelling Advantages of TAC’s High-Performance Air Purifiers

High flexibility of use through mobility

Easy assembly and relocation instead of labor-intensive installation and retrofitting—the key advantages over fixed, large, and heavy floor-mounted equipment: flexibility of use. Thanks to the cart’s “Plug & Play” design, it can be used either as a mobile or stationary unit—it can be set up easily and flexibly exactly where the TAC is needed to provide protection. Since installation locations and intended uses can change time and again, effective hygiene concepts therefore require a high degree of flexibility. The TAC is a truly mobile device and can therefore always be set up quickly and easily exactly where it is needed to protect people from contamination and infection.

High flexibility of use thanks to individually adjustable airflow rates

Another key advantage of the TAC is the air volume, which can be individually adjusted according to the room size and the required air circulation rate. Regardless of the room size or application, to “increase safety,” always select and set the correct air purification volume per hour.

Significantly greater protection against fine particulate matter

Troteci’s high-performance TAC air purifiers offer you, your employees, customers, patients, and students a high level of protection against indirect exposure to aerosol particles. In addition to viruses and bacteria, the units safely remove harmful fine dust (e.g., from road traffic), as well as pollen and allergens, from the indoor air.

Greater Safety—Scientifically Tested and Recommended

The effectiveness of the TAC ECO room air purifier has been confirmed by leading national and international institutions in numerous independent scientific studies.

Large volume of clean air – high pressure

Clean air with a high airflow capacity of up to 1,000 m³/h, filtered to remove viruses and bacteria, ensures optimal air circulation, airflow, and frequent air exchange. Proper airflow and guidance are absolutely essential for a high level of safety. In particular, the high maximum airflow (boost mode) is ideal for rapid decontamination (shock filtration) during breaks or in changing rooms.

High-performance, efficient filtration with the highest HEPA filter class, certified in accordance with EN 1822

The TAC V+, TAC M, and TAC XT use fully encapsulated H14 metal lamellar high-temperature filters that are “Made in Germany” combined with high-tech filter media optimized for airflow and specially developed for Trotec. Each high-quality filter is individually tested and certified.

Optional: ultra-high flow rate H14

66% greater H14 airflow—up to 30% lower energy consumption and up to 8% less noise.

FlowMatic Control: Constant circulation speed at all performance levels thanks to a steady volumetric flow, ensuring greater safety

Sensor-based FlowMatic control in the TAC V+, TAC M, and TAC XT works just like a cruise control system in a car: even if the filter becomes increasingly clogged with coarse and fine dust, you don’t have to worry about a drop in airflow or the need for air replacement.

The system’s performance is continuously and dynamically regulated so that the target air volume, once set, is maintained at a constant level at every performance level! This ensures greater safety, a longer filter service life, and higher system efficiency.

TAC V+ and TAC XT only: Cleaning the thermal filter to ensure greater safety

Just like an airbag in a car—you almost never need it, but it’s important to have it there! Reliably killing viruses and bacteria through heat treatment (15 minutes at a temperature of approximately 100 °C) offers significant added value in terms of hygiene and safety. This is recommended by leading scientists for safe, continuous operation.

Cleaning the thermal filter is fully programmable and takes place completely automatically, e.g., outside of working hours or school hours.

Weekly thermal decontamination requires only 1.0 kWh of additional energy per week, and—due to the limited temperature range of the chamber and the short duration of the treatment—it does not raise the room temperature.

TAC V+ and TAC XT only: Thermofilter regeneration for improved hygiene

Automatic self-cleaning of the filter to ensure a longer filter life and to prevent bacteria, mold, biofilm, and the resulting odors.

Filter regeneration takes place simultaneously with thermal decontamination at approximately 100 °C and is scientifically recommended, as most bacteria and microorganisms are destroyed only at approximately 100 °C. It is not without reason that, if microbes are found in drinking water, the water should be boiled for at least three to five minutes before use—that is, heated to approximately 100 °C.

Thermal filter regeneration: for a longer filter life, better filter hygiene, and to prevent filter odors.

Fully automated operation through flexible programming

Thanks to their fully programmable and updatable touchscreens, the TAC V+, TAC M, and TAC XT can be individually configured for their operating and standby times, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Low noise level

A quieter, high-performance range hood relative to its airflow capacity and unit size.

Sturdy construction for professional use

An exceptionally stable and scratch-resistant metal casing, specially designed for environments where many people gather, work, play, and study.

TAC V+ and TAC XT: Inexpensive to Maintain

Maintenance of the TAC V+ and TAC XT is very inexpensive. For one thing, the average energy consumption of the unit’s basic functions (fan, electronics, etc.) is only 160 Wh. Some competitors may have nominally lower consumption, but considering their high clean air volume, the TAC V+ and TAC XT are extremely cost-effective per cubic meter of virus-filtered clean air.

On the other hand, the additional function of thermal decontamination—which includes simultaneous filter regeneration—offers not only safety and filter hygiene but also a decisive advantage—as well as enormous savings potential! When activated once a week, the additional energy required to clean the filter of contaminants amounts to just under 15 euros per year (about 1 kWh per week). At the same time, this improves the filter’s hygiene and extends its service life. You won’t have to buy a new filter as often, and with these savings, you can enjoy Thermodekon’s added value—maximum filter safety and hygiene—practically for free!
