T260 – Infrared Thermohygrometer

Professional Infrared Thermometer

Air temperature (°C, °F), relative humidity (% rH) and absolute humidity (g/m³), specific humidity (g/kg of dry air), dew point temperature (dp °C, dp °F), and surface temperature (°C, °F) can be measured.

The T260 combines a thermo-hygrometer, a laser pyrometer, and a dew point alarm into a single device.

climate measurement

The T260 measures air temperature and relative humidity. Alternatively, it displays the dew point, absolute humidity in g/m³, or mass ratio in g/kg.

dew point alarm

The wall’s surface temperature is measured using a built-in infrared sensor and compared to the dew point temperature. Now simply point the infrared sensor at the wall’s surface. This allows you to effectively “scan” larger areas.

If the surface temperature of the wall is near or even below the dew point, an alarm will sound. In addition, a flashing laser cursor draws your attention to the area below the dew point and indicates the affected area on the wall. Keep in mind that the measuring range of the infrared sensor on the wall increases as the measurement distance increases. At a distance of 1 m, the diameter of the measurement spot is approximately 10 cm. At a distance of 2 m, the diameter of the measurement spot is approximately 20 cm. The switchable laser aiming aid always indicates the center of the measurement spot.

Measuring Humidity in a Balance

The moisture content of building materials can also be determined by measuring the humidity in drill holes or cavities. If the actual moisture content corresponds to the value of the sorption isotherm, the building material is in a state of equilibrium in terms of building physics. If the moisture content exceeds this value, there is “structural moisture.”

Three operating modes and a wide range of measurement functions—all of which can be selected with just one hand using the touchscreen—make the T260 a pocket-sized mobile measuring station:

In TH mode, the measuring device corresponds to the T210 and offers all of its functions.

In IR mode, the T260 can use a laser pyrometer to measure the surface temperature at the location indicated by the measurement system. The measured surface temperature is then continuously displayed in real time at the top of the screen.

The dew point alarm feature is a particularly practical advantage:

In DP mode, the easy-to-read touchscreen displays both the dew point and surface temperature simultaneously. As soon as the wall temperature is close to or below the dew point, the T260 alerts the user with a laser signal and an audible alert. The alarm function allows you to inspect wall surfaces in the shortest possible time and quickly identify weak spots! Alarm thresholds can be configured individually.

The T260 infrared thermohygrometer can be connected to a computer via a USB cable. Using the optional MultiMeasure Studio software (available for free in the service/download area at trotec.de), data measured by the T260 can be transmitted directly to a computer via the web in real time and saved for later analysis or reporting.
