PCE-AS1 Air Sampler
CAL-PCE-AS 1 ISO Certificate for the Air Sampler (included)
Portable 100 lpm aerosol hygiene monitoring device for analyzing airborne microbes, bacteria, mold, fungi, and viruses
The PCE-AS1 is an air sampler used to assess microbiological contamination and monitor hygiene. The PCE-AS1 air sampler, designed for use in hospitals, cleanrooms, and food and beverage, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, meets the latest requirements for devices used to analyze airborne microbes. An optional ISO calibration laboratory certificate is available as an accessory.
The PCE-AS1 air sampler uses either the aerosol impaction principle or the Andersen impaction principle to assess air quality. Air drawn in through the top of the instrument is passed through 300 micropores, and the resulting laminar airflow is directed onto the surface of an agar Petri dish. Once the sampling cycle is complete, the Petri dish is removed and incubated. The number of bacteria and fungi can then be determined in accordance with the USP 797 and CAG-009 guidelines.
The collection head should be sterilized in an autoclave at 121°C for 30 minutes (it can also be sterilized with a 75% alcohol swab). The Petri dish should also be sterilized with 75% alcohol.
