Renovate Clean! If you want to quickly and safely remove dust from your work area during restoration work and protect other parts of the building, the DCS dust suppression system is just what you need!
The core component of this system is the DCD-3.0 dust damper —designed to quickly and safely seal the door between the work area or contaminated area and the clean area. By connecting fans in the clean area, a low-pressure zone (dirty area) is created in the renovation area, which prevents fine dust from spreading to adjacent rooms. When the hose passes through the opening directly to the dust source in the renovation area, the dust extraction function is activated.
Easy to transport and quick to install, DCS saves time, money, and potential complications. With a water-based system, there’s no need for thorough cleaning—just shake out the dust bags or throw them away.
FEATURES AND USAGE:
- Dust removal system for removing dust and maintaining vacuum conditions in rooms
- The system includes: DCD-3.0, PF 1400 air purifier + coarse dust filter (G4) + fine dust filter (class F9/M) + suction unit
- Saves workspace: The door panel can be quickly and easily installed using a quick-release fastener with a mounting strap. The DCD-3.0 uses rollers and plastic sheeting to protect occupied areas from the work area or dirty areas.
- Dust Removal in the Work Area: Practical dust extraction ports allow the hose to be directed straight into the work area where dust is generated. The PowerFilter 1400 mobile air cleaner smoothly draws in dust and captures it in various filters.
- Maintains low pressure in the work area: The DCD-3.0, combined with a filter fan (PowerFilter 1400) located near the door to control dust in the white (clean) zone, ensures that the exhaust pressure remains low.
- Simple and quick assembly (quick-release closure)
- Two integrated dust extraction ports
- There are many different possible combinations (ranging from connecting different types of fans to using different types of filters)
- A high airflow can be achieved
- Easy to transport thanks to the bag
- Easy to clean
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Dust Protection
What is the difference between white and black areas?
“Black area” refers to the contaminated (construction site) area. Hazardous substances generated during remediation include asbestos, dust, or mold. “White area” refers to the spaces outside the contaminated remediation area.
To protect workers and building occupants, the clean area is separated from the contaminated area by black partition walls to prevent contamination. Air purifiers are used in the contaminated area to ensure workplace safety. The black-and-white principle is stipulated in relevant regulations, such as TRGS 524 (Protective Measures for Work in Contaminated Areas) and TRGS 519 (Asbestos: Demolition, Renovation, or Maintenance Work).
How does negative pressure work? Why do I need negative pressure in the work area?
Negative pressure in the work area prevents dust particles from entering adjacent rooms. Under negative pressure, air flows into the room (work area) only from the outside. Fine dust particles present in the air within the work area cannot escape from the area.
When should I use a dust control door (DCD), and when should I use a dust control wall (HEYWALL)?
A DCD (Dust Control Door) is a partition that replaces a room door. It separates the room with a curtain and is easy to walk through. When used in conjunction with an air cleaner designed to maintain negative pressure, the partition acts as an effective dust barrier. The air cleaner’s hoses are routed through the DCD to the source of the dust, creating a suction effect at the workstation.
HEYWALL is a dust barrier that can be used to reduce the size of large spaces or to separate renovation areas from the rest of the space. With its easy-to-install telescoping posts, the panel can be used as a vertical partition to flexibly divide a space. The flexible system allows for various configuration options: L-shaped, U-shaped, polygonal, room divider, or airlock. The system can always be reused, supplemented, and expanded. Special clamps can be used for the contact surfaces on the sides and ceiling. Here, too, the use of an air cleaner significantly increases dust resistance. When the system is used to reduce the size of rooms, the requirement for air cleaner performance (air change rate) also decreases.
