The PCE-WSB 1 is a portable, battery-powered handheld brightness tester or whiteness meter used to measure the brightness of paper, cardboard, cellulose, textiles, paint, enamel, plastic, porcelain, cement, concrete, building materials, and chemicals. , powders, talc, starch, flour, salt, detergents, cosmetics, and other non-metallic substances.
When used correctly on flat surfaces, the brightness tester/whiteness colorimeter features an easy-to-read liquid crystal display (LCD). The device determines the brightness level by measuring the intensity of reflected diffuse light on a scale of 100. The meter defines the brightness level of an absolutely black surface as 1. The meter comes with black, white, and brightness standards. Self-calibration is required to ensure the consistency of accurate and repeatable measurements.
