TTR-Trisorp Dual Principle
The TTR 1400 has two separate air ducts for process air and regeneration air, each fed by a fan. The process air to be dried is drawn in by a fan and flows through the drying sector of the continuously rotating drying wheel, where the moisture is removed by binding to the sorbent; the dried air then flows into the outlet.
Regeneration air is drawn in by a separate fan and directed through the desorption section. Since the drying wheel heats up due to the adsorbed heat and the regeneration heat, the desorption zone is used to recover heat from the desiccant wheel and to cool it, which reduces the required energy consumption and improves the drying process, especially at low temperatures.
