FRAL 10000 FR Industrial Adsorption Air Dryer
The FR Series air dryers are equipped with a high-capacity rotor wheel and are designed for larger and more complex applications than the smaller FR Series. A special design that allows for very easy access to all maintenance and installation components. The FR series can ensure the dehumidification process even under extreme conditions ranging from -20°C to +40°C and achieve a dew point as low as -60°C tdp, thereby ensuring continuous and controlled operation.
Compact design; an open design allows for extremely easy maintenance, stainless steel ensures long-term reliability, and PLC control with a display terminal. As optional equipment, the machine can be equipped with a heat recovery coil, a pre-cooling water coil, a post-cooling water coil, or a post-heating water coil. RS485 ModBus interface or other protocols, as well as other accessories or special customization upon request, or for different voltages.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The air dryer operates with two air streams. The main air stream, PROCESS AIR, is the one being dried, and the second, smaller air stream is used to regenerate the rotor.
STRUCTURE
The dehumidifier housing is manufactured as standard from painted galvanized steel sandwich panels with insulation, or from AISI 304 stainless steel if required by the
environment.
FANS
The fans are directly connected to single- or three-phase motors rated IP55, ISO F, Class B. To control rotational speed, the fans can be operated with an optional frequency converter
and their performance can be tailored to specific requirements. By default, the process fan is set to a fixed speed, but it can be configured for variable speed
based on an external signal or a pressure sensor.
ROOTOR
The dehumidification rotor installed in the air dryer is currently the best available on the market, offering approximately 8% better moisture removal capacity
and a 25% lower pressure drop than the leading competitor. The rotor does not emit particles and does not support flame propagation (non-flammable).
NEXT SYSTEM
A belt drive system is used to rotate the rotor. This rotation typically ranges from 6 to 12 revolutions per hour and utilizes a powerful direct drive and a gearbox that operates on a belt with frictional contact against the outer edge of the rotor drum. A belt tensioning system is used to maintain proper belt tension
and prevent slippage.
REGENERATIVE AIR
The electric regenerative winding consists of steel elements that are connected and divided into 2, 3, or more sequential power control banks
modulation. If desired, continuous modulation with proportional power control can be used to increase the air dryer’s efficiency and save energy at
.
The steam recovery coils are made of 304-grade stainless steel tubes with aluminum fins (options are also available for other materials),
and include a 2-channel valve with a modulating actuator to control the steam flow and, consequently, the dehumidifier’s performance.
FILTERS
The desiccant dehumidifier has two separate G4 filters: one at the process air inlet and the other at the high-temperature
regeneration air inlet. Higher-grade filters can be supplied upon request.
