In places where conventional air conditioning cannot be used, Biocool air coolers are an energy-efficient and economical alternative. By turning water into water vapor, heat is extracted from the air, providing an effective cooling effect. Humid air has a greater cooling effect—similar to the way the skin sweats—which is why a large part of the cooling effect comes from the “wind chill” factor. Although the air blown out by the unit is cooled by only a few degrees, this principle makes the cooling effect feel much greater and provides significant relief at high temperatures.
The air cooler can be used both indoors and outdoors. When used indoors, there is no need to close windows and doors; in fact, it is recommended to ventilate the room so that there is enough dry air for optimal evaporation and moist air can escape.
A major advantage of water-evaporative air coolers is their low energy consumption, which is, on average, only one-tenth that of conventional air conditioners. As a result, using Biocool air coolers can lead to significant cost savings.
In rooms where the warm air produced by a portable air conditioner cannot be vented, an air cooler can be used, as it produces only cool air and therefore does not require a warm-air exhaust hose.
