TFV 100 Ex Centrifugal Fan
Proper ventilation is not only important for a pleasant working environment, but is also essential in many areas for occupational safety reasons and in accordance with official regulations.
Ventilating rooms removes harmful substances such as paint and varnish fumes, welding fumes, dust particles, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
The TFV 100 Ex is the optimal fan solution for all ventilation applications in explosion-protected zones with high back pressure, such as those involving long transport distances using multiple interconnected air ducts. Unlike axial fans, this powerful centrifugal fan moves air perpendicular to the impeller axis using the centrifugal principle, in which air is forced outward and compressed within a teardrop-shaped housing.
Designed in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, this centrifugal fan is integrated into a sturdy powder-coated steel housing, which features a highly durable two-component coating that makes it extremely resistant to harsh environmental conditions. All desired steel grades are available upon request.
In addition to the standard frameless version, we can also supply the TFV 100 Ex, as shown, with an additional frame made of galvanized steel and sturdy transport casters, which offers you maximum mobility and is ideal for use in frequently changing locations.
TFV 100 Ex switches, cables, and plugs are approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Suitable connectors approved for use in Zones 1, 2, 21, and 22 may also be used as extension cords.
Here are a few of the practical advantages of the TFV 100 Ex, in brief:
- Development, design, manufacturing: 100% Trotec
- Explosion Protection Group II, Category 3G, Temperature Class 4
- A robust, high-current, high-quality device “made in Germany.”
- Splash-proof version (IP55)
- The fan motor is located outside the main airflow
- Can be connected to both intake and exhaust ducts
- Stable regions of the characteristic curve and consistently high pressure
- Also available optionally for Explosion Protection Group II, Category 2G (Zone 1), Category 2D (Zone 21), and Category 3D (Zone 2).
Explosion protection refers to protection against explosions and their effects. Its purpose is to prevent damage caused by systems, technical products, and the like. Explosion protection encompasses legal provisions such as the European Union’s ATEX directives. Important: Please ask our service staff about the use of explosion-proof fans!
