What allergens and pollutants have been filtered out of the air?

Indoor air is often more polluted than outdoor air. However, even in supposedly unpolluted fresh air, concentrations of fine particulate matter are dangerously high in many places. These tiny particles enter indoor spaces through open doors and windows and are inhaled into the human body through the respiratory tract.

Colorful Air Quality Display

The AirgoClean® 150 E’s centrally located air quality display makes fine dust and other indoor air pollutants—which are otherwise invisible but not harmless—visible. Indoor air quality ( <, 2.5 µm) can be read on the dimmable LED display even from a distance. A color bar provides clearly visible information about air quality in three color gradations:

What does the PM2.5 value mean?

PM2.5 refers to fine particulate matter with a diameter of less than 2.5 µm that can be inhaled. Because of their small size, these fine particles are considered a health risk, as they penetrate deeper into the respiratory tract, the cardiovascular system, and the brain, where they remain and cause damage. In the REVIHAAP project, the WHO concluded that fine particulate matter can, among other things, cause atherosclerosis, impair fetal development, and cause respiratory diseases in children.

Clean Air at a Glance: The Air Quality Indicator’s Color Display

In addition to the option of manually selecting one of three ventilation levels, the AirgoClean® 150 E designer air purifier features a smart automatic mode. In this operating mode, state-of-the-art “air quality sensors” measure air quality in real time to respond to changes with customized air purification, such as dust particles brought in from outside on shoes.
A color air quality display on a modern touchscreen makes the otherwise invisible—yet essential for a healthy life—indoor air quality visible at a glance. The air purifier detects even the finest particles via dust sensors and unpleasant odors in the room air via odor sensors.
A traffic-light-colored indicator light shows the current level of outdoor air purity. The AirgoClean® 150 E’s ultra-sensitive air quality sensors continuously measure exposure to fine dust and gaseous pollutants. Even the slightest changes are detected immediately—so that the system can respond instantly with customized air purification. The unit’s airflow and filter performance are regulated fully automatically to the extent necessary to remove pollutants from the room air as quickly as possible.

Note: When the room is at its maximum size, the unit operates at the highest fan speed! To achieve the optimal combination of maximum air purification and minimal background noise, we therefore recommend that, when planning installation, the room size be approximately 30% smaller than the maximum possible. This allows the unit to ensure proper filtration even at lower fan speeds.
* In advertisements, the maximum value is usually promoted as the “recommended room size.” To achieve a good balance between air pollution control and background noise, our recommended room sizes are based on a maximum sound level of 38 dB(A).

Auto Mode and Virus Filtering:
Do not use Auto Mode when the device is being used for virus filtering. The built-in sensors only respond to air pollution from fine dust, pollen, or volatile organic compounds. The device cannot determine the viral load. It is possible that automatic mode will indicate “good” air quality even though the viral load in the room is very high. Therefore, to reduce the risk of indirect infection when filtering viruses, we recommend always setting the fan speed to meet the required air change rate (air volume).

Turbo mode ensures the best cleaning results

Just as quickly as indoor air pollution can develop—for example, due to high concentrations of bioaerosols that are sometimes infectious—these airborne particles can be removed from the indoor air using the AirgoClean® 150 E. To achieve rapid purification results, this compact device features functions designed to dilute contaminated indoor air with clean air in the shortest possible time, before the room air is effectively purified by a HEPA filter and separated from pollutants. Thanks to its optimal airflow geometry, even air from the farthest corners of the room is purified impressively quickly and returned to the room with high air quality—without creating drafts.

Turbo mode for accelerated room ventilation

For a healthy life without physical stress, the quality of the indoor air you breathe must be right. On the other hand, thick or even stuffy air saps your vitality. Window ventilation is often problematic, especially on major roads, where fine dust levels frequently exceed the limit values throughout the day. In the worst-case scenario, more pollutants enter your home through ventilation than are expelled. With the AirgoClean® 150 E’s powerful turbo mode, you can keep the air clean in your workplace, home office, as well as in your living room, bedroom, and children’s room—without having to open windows and without the inevitable energy waste that occurs in winter.

Annoying pet hair, unpleasant pet odors, and even spores brought in from outside are removed from the room’s air more quickly thanks to the high ventilation performance of turbo mode. The air in meeting rooms, break rooms, or lounge areas can be purified just as quickly and easily after use. This is especially recommended during the cold season, when cold and flu viruses are at their peak. Even after people have left the room, disease-causing microbes still linger invisibly in the air. In Turbo mode, the AirgoClean® 150 E quickly removes airborne pollutants and particulates from the room air with maximum efficiency.

Aerodynamically and aeroacoustically optimized centrifugal fan

Thanks to the optimal interaction of top-of-the-line components, the AirgoClean® 150 E achieves peak airflow performance. The aerodynamically curved blades of the centrifugal fan enable a regulated high airflow while generating minimal noise. Contaminated room air is drawn in through a side air intake located near the floor and passed through the unit’s combined DACRON, HEPA, and CARBON filter technology. The clean air, now free of pollutants, is then blown back into the room through airflow-optimized exhaust louvers on top of the unit, where it mixes with the room’s natural air circulation and spreads comfortably.

DACRON® Prefilter

DACRON® is the name given to continuous fibers made from synthetically produced polyester, which, thanks to their particularly hypoallergenic properties, are ideal for use as pre-filters in air purification systems. Pre-filters made from this synthetic fiber are particularly tear-resistant, durable, and water-repellent. Even a filter made of synthetic fibers reliably removes light to moderate odors, coarse household dust, and pet hair from indoor air.

Carbon filter

The additional carbon filter is ideal for all smokers. In addition to pollutants, this activated carbon filter effectively neutralizes odors from tobacco, pets, cooking, smoke, as well as formaldehyde and solvent odors from outdoor air. For clean air—free of unpleasant odors.

HEPA filter

A HEPA filter removes pollen, allergens, fine dust particles, bacteria, viruses, dust mite debris, and mold spores as small as 0.3 micrometers. Quick and easy filter replacement
