Blauberg Axis-P Series Smoke Exhaust Fans
Fans are used: as part of a smoke exhaust system to increase air pressure and create a positive air pressure differential in stairwells, airlock vestibules, and elevator shafts; to prevent the spread of smoke within rooms; to protect people using evacuation routes from fire hazards and to create conditions conducive to firefighting; and in general ventilation systems for industrial, administrative, and residential buildings.
Construction
MEDIUM-PRESSURE FANS
The metal housing with rolled edges provides exceptional rigidity and minimizes the gap between the housing and the blades. The housing features a maintenance hatch to facilitate maintenance. All housing components are powder-coated to improve protection against environmental influences.
The weight of the fans may differ from that shown in the catalog and depends on the components used (motor, terminal box, etc.). Motor: The fans are equipped with three-phase (400 V/50 Hz) single-speed 2-, 4-, or 6-pole electric motors. An IE3 energy efficiency class motor is available upon request.
The motor has an IP55 protection rating.
Blade
Depending on their size and the required air volume, the fans are equipped with 6- or 8-blade impellers with an angle of 20° to 50°, with a variation of 2.5 to 5°, to ensure that the fans are precisely matched to their operating point. The specially designed impeller blades ensure high fan efficiency while keeping noise levels well under control.
The blades are dynamically balanced. Their low weight and low moment of inertia help reduce the fan’s startup time. Fan blades can be made of the following materials: • PAG – glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide • AL – aluminum Please specify the blade material when placing your order.
Installation
Fans can be installed on any flat surface or directly into a ventilation duct. The units are suitable for both horizontal and vertical configurations. For duct installation, flanges are required to secure the fan to the duct. To mount the fan on the floor, wall, or ceiling, use O-AF brackets (not included as standard equipment; must be purchased separately). The units are suitable for installation on roofs to ensure a direct supply of outdoor air to stairwells.
