BC25 thermo-hygrometer with heat index (HI) and wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT) display
The BC25 is an effective and convenient device for reliably measuring physical stress associated with high temperatures and humidity. This is because high humidity affects sweat evaporation through the skin and, consequently, the body’s thermoregulation. As a result, subjective well-being is significantly impaired, and the risk of heat-related injuries is high, particularly for athletes, but also for sick and elderly people.
For this reason, the Trotec BC25 uses its sensitive sensors to determine the heat index (HI) and temperature (WBGT index) in addition to standard climate parameters such as air temperature, relative humidity, dew point, and wet bulb temperature. Both the heat index and the so-called WBGT provide information about the perceived temperature, which is based on the measured air temperature and, above all, relative humidity and other parameters, such as heat radiation.
By using the BC25’s alert functions for the heat index and perceived temperature (WBGT), you can prevent heat-related injuries from the very beginning. A large, easy-to-read LCD screen, as well as automatic shut-off, minimum and maximum values, AVG, and HOLD functions, complement the features of this innovative measuring device.
