With the new Coway AirMega AP-1515G/300S air purifier, you get a stylish, sleek, and compact device with very high airflow capacity and performance. The Coway AirMega allows you to control and monitor the device via your smartphone. The AirMega is suitable for public spaces, offices, school classrooms, daycare centers, healthcare facilities, private homes, or apartments.
The Coway AirMega is unique in that it draws air in from two sides. With dual air intakes, its capacity is very large, and the Coway AirMega is recommended for use in rooms up to 117 m². This means that in a 117 m² room (with a ceiling height of 2.4 m), the air purifier can clean all the air twice per hour.
Due to the increased spread of the virus worldwide, Coway has developed a special, patented antiviral green HEPA, that removes 99.99% of viruses and bacteria from indoor air.
With the Coway AirMega, you can turn off the indicator lights and set the fan speed for ultra-precise operation. This feature makes it suitable for bedrooms or hospital rooms. The AirMega is equipped with an LED indicator that displays the current air quality in four different colors.
The device comes with a filter set consisting of a pre-filter and a MAX2 filter, which is a combination filter comprising a green HEPA filter and an odor filter containing activated carbon granules. This unique filter combination eliminates 99.97% of all particles down to 0.3 microns. AirMega alerts you when it’s time to clean the pre-filters and when to replace the MAX2 filters.
Monitor with app
You can control and monitor the device via your smartphone. In the “IOCare” app, you can view both current and past air quality data, use the timer function, adjust the fan speed, receive filter replacement or cleaning notifications, and more. Please note that the IOCare app is available only in English.

The Outstanding Features of the Coway AirMega
Air Quality Indicator – The LED indicator displays air quality in real time. It ranges from blue/green, which indicates clean air, to red/purple, which indicates heavily polluted air.
Dual air intake —air is drawn in from both sides of the air purifier, creating sufficient airflow, faster purification, and quieter operation.
Smart Mode – the recommended operating mode, in which the fan speed is automatically adjusted based on air quality; this is also the most economical and practical setting. See Eco Mode below.
Eco Mode – When AirMega is operating in Smart Mode, the Eco Mode feature is activated. This means that if air quality remains good for 10 minutes, the fan automatically turns off to save energy. The particle sensor operates continuously, but if air quality deteriorates, the fan starts automatically. If AirMega is in Eco Mode with the fan turned off and air quality has been good for 30 minutes, the fan automatically turns on for 10 minutes and then turns off again for up to 30 minutes if the air quality remains good.
Sleep Mode — You can manually turn off the lights and/or set the fan to sleep mode, which means the fan operates at an extremely quiet level. This feature allows you to place the unit in the bedroom without disturbing your sleep at night.
Automatic Shutdown – If any side panel is removed to access the filters, the AirMega automatically shuts down.
3-stage filter system — AirMega is a dual-filter system because it draws air in from two sides. The pre-filters trap pet hair and dust; they never need to be replaced, but they must be cleaned regularly. Behind each pre-filter is a MAX2 filter, which consists of a combined filter containing an activated carbon filter with granules and a green HEPA filter. The MAX2 filter removes odors, cigarette smoke, and other unpleasant smells, as well as bacteria, viruses, microparticles, mold spores, dust mites, pollen, and other harmful substances. The AirMega filter system removes 99.97% of all particles down to 0.3 microns (µm).
Filter Replacement Indicator — The air purifier alerts you when it’s time to replace or clean the filters. Reset the alert by pressing the button on the device or through the app. Under normal use, MAX2 filters should be replaced every 12 months, and new filter sets can be ordered as a separate product.
Particle Sensor – The air purifier is equipped with a sensitive particle sensor that continuously measures the air quality in the room. In Smart Mode, the fan speed automatically adjusts based on how the particle sensor responds to air quality. The sensitivity of the particulate sensor can be set to one of three modes (high, medium, or low), with medium being the factory default. Clean the particulate sensor regularly according to the instructions.
Energy-efficient and quiet —the AirMega consumes 57 W (at maximum fan speed) and operates at a noise level between 22 and 52 dB. With its unique Eco Mode and Sleep Mode features, AirMega operates in an energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and quiet manner.
Maximum air purification rate —with its dual-direction air intake, the AirMega fan can purify 9.35 m³ of air per minute (561 m³ of air per hour) at maximum speed. In a room with a standard ceiling height of 240 cm, the AirMega can circulate all the air twice per hour in a living space of up to 117 m².
IOCare app —a free, downloadable app for convenient remote control, monitoring, and statistics for AirMega. The app is available only in English and can be downloaded from Google Play or the App Store. You must have a Wi-Fi connection to use the app. NOTE! The app is not required for managing and controlling AirMega; it is merely an optional accessory.

The Coway AirMega AP-1515G/300S comes equipped with enough filters to last approximately 12 months, and since the air purifier draws air through two intake vents, it includes a set of two filters. The pre-filter never needs to be replaced, but it must be cleaned regularly. Complete filter packs can be ordered separately and include 2 MAX2 filters.
