CTRL-SI Plug-in Controller for the Quantum Energy Recovery Unit
(controls up to 10 devices)
- The unit extracts exhaust air from the room over a period of 70 seconds; then, 70 seconds later, it draws fresh air into the room.
- As warm air is extracted from the room, the ceramic heat exchanger heats up, accumulating heat from the exhaust air. After the unit’s operation , the heat accumulated in the heat exchanger is transferred to the fresh supply air as cold outdoor air is drawn in.
- Thus, thermal energy that would otherwise be lost is put to use.
Every 70 seconds, the direction of the device’s airflow changes
- The device operates at the selected speed when the two-position switch is set to Ctrl – S.
- Speed 1 – “S1”
- Speed 2 – “S2”
- Speed 3 – “S1 + S2”
- The same functionality can be achieved using Ctrl-S or two 3-position switches. _
-
Switch S3 activates “free cooling” (bypass) mode, which stops the alternating airflow
- This keeps the unit in either exhaust mode or supply mode only; it does not reset. Configuration using the JUMPER switch
| Air Exhaust Mode | Air supply mode |
- Automatic “Boost” mode is activated by the sensor SEN – HY sensor
Synchronization
- When the units are installed in pairs, one unit extracts air from the room while the other supplies air from outside, and vice versa.
