TTR 2000 Adsorption Dryer

TTR 2000 Adsorption Dryer

The TTR 2000 rotary dryer, like other TTR dryers, is one of the most economical of its kind thanks to the heat recovery system integrated into its standard equipment and the electronic control of the dry air flow!

Its sturdy construction and technology developed in accordance with the highest industry standards make the TTR 2000 a reliable partner for dehumidification, even under harsh conditions.

The Best Way to Control Humidity

Drying several hundred kilograms a day is no major challenge for the TTR 2000—not even in a cool environment with a low dew point.

Therefore, this dehumidifier is ideally suited for a wide range of air and gas dehumidification tasks in industrial, logistics, and municipal settings, for example, to ensure production and product safety, or to preserve the value of machinery, equipment, and buildings through continuous protection against corrosion, condensation, or mold growth.

With its standard stainless steel housing and IP53-rated electrical control box, the corrosion-resistant TTR 2000 can withstand even the most adverse operating environments and is therefore ideally suited for all applications that involve dry storage or dry air production, where low temperatures or particularly demanding material-specific conditions prevail—even in hygiene-sensitive areas.

Manufactured in Germany to high performance standards

The TTR 2000’s durable and low-maintenance design, along with its exceptionally long service life, are no coincidence — after all, it is an adsorption dryer developed and manufactured in Germany according to Trotec’s original production standards of the highest quality. It consists exclusively of efficient, branded components from the latest generation of technology, supplied by leading component manufacturers.

High dehumidification capacity even at low dew points

The TTR series adsorption dryers use a vapor pressure gradient between the moist air and the hygroscopic sorbent—which has an ultra-large surface area and is integrated into the drying wheel—to dry the air. This process ensures high moisture removal even at low humidity and low air temperatures.

The TTR Trisorp Dual Principle

The TTR 2000 has two separate air ducts for process air and regeneration air, each equipped with a fan. The process air to be dried is drawn in by a fan and flows through the drying sector of the continuously rotating drying wheel, where the moisture it contains is removed by being bound in the sorbent, and it then flows out as dry air through the air outlet.

Regeneration air is also drawn in by a separate fan and directed through the rinsing section. Since the desiccant wheel heats up due to the heat of adsorption and the heat of regeneration, the desorption section is used to recover heat and cool the desiccant wheel, which also reduces the required energy input and improves moisture removal efficiency, especially at lower set points.

As the air flows through the heating register, it warms up and its relative humidity is greatly reduced, so that as the air passes through the regeneration section, it can reabsorb the moisture bound in the silica gel and be discharged outside through the moist regeneration air outlet.

Configurable Airflow Direction Adjustment

The air dryer housing is factory-prepared for a mirror-reversed airflow configuration, so this unit can always be set up with the working side facing the user, regardless of the direction of the process air. If desired, the airflow direction can be adjusted to suit your specific processes by flipping the module over. Exhausting dry air on the right and moist air on the left—or vice versa—is no problem thanks to the configurable airflow direction adjustment.

Dual-Valve Airflow Control

The TTR 2000’s high-performance fans are powered by energy-efficient EC motors, whose speeds can be adjusted independently of one another using the Duoventic controller. Thanks to this integrated Duoventic airflow control, you can quickly configure the TTR 2000 dehumidifier to suit your needs without any modifications: very dry air with a low airflow, a larger volume of dry air, or maximum circulation air capacity with a moderate airflow. dry air ratio.

Service-Friendly Design

The TTR 2000 is designed for extremely easy maintenance. Lockable doors and filter hatches allow you to quickly access all components at any time. The unit comes factory-equipped with Z-Line design G4 air filters, one for process air and one for regeneration air. A corresponding filter monitoring system with a warning light is also included as standard equipment.

Energy-efficient moisture removal and a higher level of dryness thanks to the dual-air-circulation system

The TTR-Trisorp-Dual-Principle, with its two separate air ducts, allows for the recirculation of fresh, dry air within a closed process air loop, whether the unit is installed outdoors (Example 1) or inside the treatment room (Example 2). For indoor installation, the regeneration air inlet and the humid air outlet are simply routed out of the room via hose or pipe connections.

Unlike conventional through-flow drying, drying with variable recirculated air allows for a significantly lower dew point temperature to be achieved at the nominal flow rate, resulting in significantly lower drying stages and significantly more energy-efficientoperation.

Various Applications

The TTR 2000 adsorption dryer is capable of continuous operation even at low dew points and has a very high moisture removal capacity, making it suitable for many applications, such as:

  • Air pre-drying to maintain the pourability and flowability of hygroscopic products in storage, transport, and dosing systems
  • Process Air Drying for Gas Turbines and Humidity Control in Gas Distribution Stations
