LD6 Leak Microphone
The LD6 listening device allows for quick and reliable inspection of pipes or fittings for leak noise. The combination of a highly sensitive vibration sensor and optimized amplification technology allows even the smallest structure-borne noise waves to be recorded.
High or low frequencies can be filtered with a single button press, so measurements can be performed equally successfully on both metal and non-metal lines. Wireless Bluetooth transmission to headphones makes measuring much easier.
To take a measurement, the LD6 can be placed directly on a pipe, a fitting, or the floor, either with the measuring probe or with the accessories included in the delivery set. If the pipe being measured is broken, a leak noise can be heard at that location. The integrated level indicator also displays the intensity of the recorded noise.
With the LD6, detecting a leak is so easy:
- Place the LD6, along with the measuring probe, on the test object
- Monitor the deflection height of the LED screen
- If the screen is stable, there is a leak or water is flowing out
- If the noise level drops to zero for a short time, there is no leak
- Turn on your wireless headphones and adjust the signal for optimal sound quality
- Next, reposition the measurement points and trace the leak
