DH 310 BX Industrial Air Dryer

Trotec DH 310 Industrial Condensate Dryer

The ideal format for maximum dryness

The DH 310 BX industrial condenser dryer, which is also available with a stainless steel housing, is characterized by high moisture removal capacity, reliable continuous operation, and practical configuration options. Designed for floor-standing operation, the unit can also be mounted on a wall or suspended from the ceiling and, with on-site preparation, can be easily connected to existing duct systems.

The DH 310 BX air dryer features a smooth-running scroll compressor that ensures a constant, pulsation-free pressure for energy-efficient cooling. Combined with a self-regulating EC centrifugal fan, this robust industrial dehumidifier delivers consistently high moisture removal performance during continuous operation, even at low temperatures.

Easy installation and setup

The DH 310 BX is an efficient solution for removing humidity from the air that can be installed immediately without any additional construction work and can also be retrofitted to support existing air-handling systems. Simply set it up, connect it to a power source, and install the condensate drain hose—and you’re done.

Unlike competing models in the same class, the DH 310 BX comes standard with a built-in condensate pump, which allows condensate to be drained to higher locations without any problems.

High Profitability

In high-volume recirculating air mode, this industrial dehumidifier removes most of the moisture from the air in accordance with the target humidity level preset by the hygrostat. The DH 310 BX’s dual-flow, stepless, self-regulating EC centrifugal fan and high-performance compression cooling system ensure high efficiency.

During the process, the dry air circulating in the room is heated simultaneously, making it possible to significantly reduce the amount of energy typically used for heating and ventilation. Thanks to its coefficient of performance (COP) of 3, the DH 310 BX can simultaneously generate 3 kW of heating capacity for every kilowatt of energy consumed during dehumidification.

In addition, the DH 310 BX professional hot-gas defrosting system operates with automatically controlled cycle reversal. During this process, the refrigerant circulation is temporarily reversed via a four-way valve to keep the evaporator ice-free, so that the previously cold evaporator now becomes a hot condenser, and vice versa. Compared to hot gas bypass defrosting, cycle inversion ensures faster defrosting, improving efficiency and thereby increasing the net OEE of this air dryer.

Various Applications

Without effective control, moisture can cause a variety of problems in production processes and in inventory, furniture, or stored goods. Optimal humidity control not only protects against rust, rot, material degradation, or quality deterioration during the processing and storage of goods, but also reliably prevents mold growth. Its robust design, high dehumidification performance, and simple installation options make the DH 310 BX an effective, versatile solution for many applications, such as:

  • Keeping production and storage areas dry in accordance with specific humidity requirements
  • Corrosion protection in ship engine rooms and an optimal storage environment for moisture-sensitive cargo during transport
  • Dehumidification of water treatment facilities and pumping stations to prevent condensation on pipes or pumps
  • Preventing Corrosion in Electrical Panels, Boiler Systems, Turbines, and Power Plant Piping Systems
  • Humidity control in data centers, control rooms, etc.
  • Climate control in shipbuilding, at a shipyard, or in a cargo hold
  • Humidity control in the food industry, such as in the production of cheese or baked goods

Customizable as needed

Even in its standard version, the DH 310 BX is highly resistant to corrosion and environmental influences thanks to its galvanized, powder-coated steel construction, and it can be further customized to meet specific requirements:

  • Stainless steel version

Ideal for use in areas with special hygiene requirements or a highly reactive atmospheric environment. The stainless steel housing is easy to clean and made of AISI 316, which is highly resistant to various chemical solutions such as sulfuric acid and iodides. In addition, AISI 316 offers very high corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides.

  • Heat exchanger with KTL coating

Ideal for use in highly reactive atmospheric environments. Thanks to cathodic dip coating (KTL), the heat exchanger’s coating is resistant to solvents, corrosion, acids, and alkalis.

  • high-pressure blower

For higher airflow rates, the fan is available with a static pressure boost (200 Pa), which means that, for example, when connecting to existing duct systems, longer air transport distances are possible.

  • Melt at temperatures below 0 °C

To lower the dew point in particularly cold environments, such as cold rooms, a temperature extension is available for the DH 310 BX, which expands its operating range to -0.5 °C to +42 °C.

All operating settings can be adjusted from the central control panel, which is recessed to protect the control buttons from impact or accidental misuse.
The DH 310 dual-flow centrifugal fan impresses with its high efficiency and, at the same time, minimal energy consumption. Its EC motor automatically adjusts itself according to preset parameters and therefore consumes significantly less electricity than fixed-speed fans of the same power rating.
The integrated energy consumption meter is MID-compliant and equipped with an additional maintenance menu for service information.
Instead of draining to a lower level, the integrated condensate pump—which comes standard—allows you to easily drain condensate to higher locations if necessary. Simply connect the drain hose to the desired port and start the pump.

The control panel also features a control knob for the switchable condensate pump and a DIN socket for external control, to which an external hygrostat or devices for remotely controlling the DH 310, for example, can be connected.
A hose adapter is optionally available for directly connecting air transport hoses to the DH 310 dry air outlet; it can be installed on the unit’s rectangular duct connection.
