A digital stroboscope uses the so-called “digital strobe effect” to analyze rapid movements, vibrations, or periodic processes. Using 9 bright LEDs, the digital stroboscope generates short flashes of light with a luminance of up to 1,500 lx. These flashes are emitted in sync with the frequency of the movement being observed until the object appears stationary to the observer. The digital stroboscope allows the user to focus on specific phases or features of the motion to detect defects or irregularities in rotating or oscillating parts.

The flash frequency can be measured in both FPM (flashes per minute) and hertz (Hz). The digital flash unit has memory for up to 5 preset flash frequencies, allowing you to quickly and easily repeat frequently used settings. One-handed operation allows you to easily control and adjust settings without complicated menus. Fine-tuning the flash frequency on the digital strobe is done step-by-step using a rotating dial. For quick adjustment of the flash frequency, the digital strobe offers selection options in increments of 10 and 100, as well as the ability to double or halve the flash frequency.

With LED brightness settings ranging from 10 to 100 percent, users can adjust the light intensity to suit their needs, whether for detailed analysis or broader illumination. The digital strobe also offers a phase shift ranging from -360° to +360°. The digital strobe has a built-in battery with an operating time of up to approximately 8 hours.
