Red PureRubin Natural Food Coloring, 200 g
PureRubin, a 100% biodegradable dye, is easily recognizable without the need for technical aids and is ideal for inspecting connections directly, when faulty or leaking connections and improper drainage in drainage systems are detected.
Depending on the desired color intensity, high-yield marking paint can be mixed as a water-based solution as needed, since Pure powder mixtures, due to their exceptional environmental compatibility, are completely free from any maximum restrictions.
Additional potential applications include tracer hydrology, such as for monitoring flow paths and visualizing mixing and discharge behavior in flowing water, lakes, dams, or water treatment plants, as well as for monitoring flow velocity and flow control in fish ladders.
Pure dye is also an ideal tool for simulating hazardous substances during firefighting drills.
Can be administered as needed
Thanks to their 100% natural food-grade ingredients, the Pure series dyes can be dosed as desired—it is impossible to use too much.
Depending on the desired intensity, you can add 2 g of Pure dye per 1–5 liters of water, yielding 100–500 liters of colored solution from a single jar of Pure.
Here is a brief overview of the practical benefits:
- 100% natural food coloring
- hypoallergenic, vegan
- 100% biodegradable
- Harmless to humans and animals
- Water quality does not deteriorate
- There is no maximum dose
- Water-soluble powder – easy to use
Ingredients of the PureRubin dye:
- Made from radishes, apples, and black currants
- Made with water, citric acid, and maltodextrin

While city centers that have developed over time and older residential areas with high population density often still have a combined sewer system, newer residential areas are mostly equipped with separate sewer lines, the use of which is expected to grow in the future—partly due to changes in water management laws.
However, when installing equipment in separate sewer systems, incorrect connections can often occur; these can be quickly and easily identified using Pure dyes, by pouring a colored water solution into the drain being inspected and then checking the flow through an inspection chamber.
With Troteci marking paints, you have access to high-quality paints for a wide range of applications. Whether you’re detecting leaks in building installations or flat roofs, inspecting sewer pipe connections, or marking bodies of water to visualize flow paths —our selection of dyes meets your needs and ranges from 100% natural food-grade dyes to various fluorescent dyes. * Chemical dyes (markers) have toxic potential depending on duration and exposure, which is why their use in drinking water or groundwater discharge may be problematic. Depending on the situation, the natural dyes in the Trotec Pure series represent a 100% biodegradable alternative; otherwise, uranine is the preferred substance, particularly for inspecting water flow paths in masonry or for leak detection. If the tracer must not leave any color marks on the object and must also be chemically stable over the long term, it is recommended to use a luminescent tracer, which becomes visible only under UV light.
