ProAir1000 Filter Set

Standard filter set for the ProAir 1000 industrial air purifier, consisting of a pre-filter, an F5 medium filter, an H13 HEPA filter, and an activated carbon filter.

• The pre-filter removes larger dust particles generated by sanding, sawing, and similar activities, and can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. The pre-filter extends the service life of the F5 filter and, consequently, the filters located downstream of it.
• The F5 medium filter removes all other visible airborne particles. This extends the service life of the HEPA filter.
• A HEPA filter removes at least 99.97% of fine dust particles with a diameter of 0.99 micrometers. This particle size is referred to as the most penetrating particle size (MPPS) or the hardest particles to filter. Both larger and smaller dust particles are easier to filter than these fine dust particles. Fine dust includes dust particles with a diameter of less than 10 micrometers; a micrometer is one-thousandth of a millimeter.
• Activated carbon filter: Activated carbon is specially treated carbon that has the ability to bind all kinds of substances. An activated carbon filter has a porous structure containing hundreds of individual spheres of activated carbon. Activated carbon is a powerful absorbent. It is characterized by a very large surface area; one gram of solid material can have a surface area of several hundred square meters. As a result, an activated carbon filter is capable of binding various harmful substances and is therefore effective against volatile organic compounds, cigarette smoke, and unpleasant odors.

The filters measure 405 × 405 mm, with a total depth of 100 mm.

Depending on the circumstances, the filter has an average service life of 6–12 months
