DR 100 Professional Dehumidifier, 100.8 L/24h / 1,000 m³/h, Biemmedue Arcodry — the best dehumidifier on the market
PRODUCT PAGE AND ACCESSORIES
The Biemmedue DR 2021 series of dehumidifiers consists of high-quality, durable, and reliable machines designed to regulate indoor humidity. In addition, the Biemmedue DR 100 dehumidifier is ideal for drying residential areas, archives, and warehouses, as well as for drying out spaces after floods and water damage.
The Biemmedue DR 100 dehumidifier is capable of removing 100.8 L of condensate in 24 hours under ambient conditions of 32°C and 90% relative humidity.
DR air dryers deliver significant energy savings and, consequently, cost savings thanks to their advanced electronic controls, which allows the unit to be adjusted efficiently to the needs of its environment without wasting energy. This is also made possible by the built-in thermo-hygrostat, which automatically detects the room temperature and tells the dehumidifier what humidity levels to maintain.
The refrigerant used in Biemmedue DR professional dehumidifiers is R454C, which has a very low GWP value, indicating the gas’s minimal impact on global warming. The use of high-GWP gases will be phased out gradually in the future to reduce emissions that contribute to global warming, so it is advisable to purchase air dryers that use this type of gas now to avoid having to replace them prematurely in the future.
HOW TO CHOOSE A DEHUMIDIFIER
When choosing a Biemmedue Professional dehumidifier, it is important to consider its moisture removal capacity in liters per 24 hours (L/24h). This value indicates how much water the Biemmedue dehumidifier in question can remove from the ambient humidity at its location. High-capacity dehumidifiers can operate in large rooms and dry out small rooms more quickly.
It is also important to monitor the required airflow—that is, how much air the machine can remove per hour—in order to properly ventilate the work environment.
The Biemmedue DR 100 dehumidifier is suitable for spaces with a volume of 400 m³ to 550 m³.

Operation
Biemmedue dehumidifiers are stand-alone units that do not require installation to operate; they simply plug into a power outlet to start working. This professional dehumidifier consists of a closed circuit containing an eco-friendly refrigerant, a compressor, a condenser, a capillary tube, an evaporator, and a fan.
Biemmedue dehumidifiers are stand-alone units that operate without the need for installation; simply plug them into an electrical outlet.
The air dryer consists of a closed circuit containing an eco-friendly refrigerant and includes the following main components:
- compressor (No. 2): controls the circulation of the refrigerant
- condenser (No. 3): In this component, which is physically similar to a car radiator, the gas compressed by the compressor condenses into a liquid, releasing heat; this heat warms the condenser itself
- capillary tube (No. 5): in this element, the liquid that has turned into a liquid state expands, reducing its pressure
- Evaporator (No. 6): In this component, which also consists of a coil similar to a car radiator, the liquid turns into a gas, releasing heat and thereby cooling the evaporator. The refrigerant, which has returned to a gaseous state, continues its journey through the compressor, and the cycle begins again.
The air to be dried is forced by a fan (No. 1) through the air dryer, first passing through the evaporator (cold) and then through the condenser (hot).
The operating cycle is therefore as follows: - Air flows over the surface of the evaporator, where it cools, depositing excess moisture, which turns into water droplets that fall into the collection tray.
- The air then flows through the condenser, where it reaches a temperature of a few degrees, and is directed back into a drier and warmer environment, thereby helping, over time, to reduce the ambient humidity level in the specified mixture to the desired level. The target values have been achieved.
If the ambient air temperature falls below certain values (15°/18°C), the temperature of the evaporator surfaces will in turn drop, causing ice to form, which restricts airflow and impairs the proper functioning of the system.
To overcome this potential issue, an automatic defrost function is provided, which allows the evaporator to be heated when the sensor detects excessively low temperatures.
In this case, the compressor directs the gas through the bypass valve (No. 4) directly into the evaporator, bypassing the condenser, causing the temperature to rise.
The bypass circuit closes automatically when the sensor detects a higher temperature, and the dehumidification cycle resumes as normal.
It is important to note that this defrosting system ensures that the air dryer regains full efficiency within a few seconds; Furthermore, it is the only defrosting system that allows the dehumidifier to operate at full efficiency even at very low temperatures of the air being dehumidified (below 8/10 °C).
