Pressure vs. Current
In a pressure washer, the main emphasis is usually placed on the pressure factor (the force exerted by the water on the surface being cleaned), but the flow factor (the volume of water delivered by the pump over a period of time
) is just as important, if not more so.
Triplex Pump vs. Axial Pump
A triplex pump (a three-piston connecting rod system) is preferred for demanding and continuous applications and for professional use
, whereas the axial pump (in which the three pistons move forward via a rotating swash plate and return via spring force)
is mostly used for household purposes and is intended for light-duty use. All Biemmedue pressure washers (except for entry-level models)
are manufactured exclusively with piston pumps.
Hot Water vs. Cold Water
Hot-water pressure washers are used to remove greasy, water-insoluble, and stubborn dirt. The heat generated by the hot water helps
wash away dirt more quickly and ensures that surfaces dry fast. The water is heated in a
boiler powered by a high-performance gasoline or diesel engine, which is Biemmedue’s greatest strength thanks to the design and construction technology and know-how of its boilers and combustion chambers,
accumulated over the years as a world-leading manufacturer of heating equipment. In a cold-water pressure washer, the advantages of hot water
are replaced by the use of specific cleaning agents, which, depending on their chemical composition, can target different types of dirt. The cold-water
pressure washer is more compact and is therefore ideal for locations where space-saving design and maneuverability are required.
Electric vs. Internal Combustion Engine, Single-Phase vs. Three-Phase
The choice depends largely on the application. For this reason, Biemmedue has developed a complete range of different configurations, which are illustrated on the following pages at
.
