Adsorption air drying technology is based on the use of naturally occurring desiccants (e.g., silica gel). Highly efficient energy recovery solutions can be integrated into this Fral FR air dryer.  <\/p>\n<h3>How It Works<\/h3>\n<p>The adsorption dryer operates with two air streams: the main air stream, which is the dried PROCESS AIR, and a second, smaller air stream for regenerating the rotor material. Its two highly efficient motors, together with the fans, create separate air streams flowing in opposite directions. <\/p>\n<p>PROCESS AIR is directed through a desiccant rotor, where moisture is absorbed by the desiccant on the rotor. Silica gel is used as the desiccant; this hygroscopic material can absorb several times its own weight in moisture, but always in the form of vapor and without free water. As the process air passes through the rotor, the silica gel absorbs the moisture in the air. The dry air stream is then directed from the air dryer for further processing or directly into the space to be conditioned.   <\/p>\n<h3>PLC Control<\/h3>\n<p>All standard Fral adsorption dryers are equipped with PLC control. The PLC controller manages the following functions: regeneration temperature control, thermal protection, regeneration cooling time, component startup sequence, alarm reset, relative humidity or dew point control (depending on the required regulation), and pre- and post-cooling or heating control.<\/p>\n<p>The user interface screen can be controlled remotely.
