To meet stricter air purity requirements, the F8 filter can be replaced with an H13 or F8 carbon filter (sold separately). Cold outdoor air passes through <\/strong>the filters and the heat exchanger, and is then delivered to the space being serviced by a centrifugal supply fan.<\/p>\nWarm, contaminated air from the room flows <\/strong>through a filter and a heat exchanger, and is then expelled by a centrifugal fan through an air duct in the wall.<\/p>\nThe supply and exhaust air flows <\/strong>are completely separated, which helps prevent the spread of odors or microbes between them.<\/p>\nHeat and Energy Recovery<\/h3>\n
Freshbox 100 WiFi units <\/strong>are equipped with a counterflow heat recovery core featuring a polystyrene core.<\/p>\n\n- During the cold season <\/strong>, heat is recovered <\/strong>from the exhaust air<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
It is sealed and the supply air flow is directed through it, which reduces heat loss due to ventilation.<\/p>\n
Condensate may form during heat recovery. The condensate collects in the drain pan and is removed through the exhaust air duct. <\/p>\n

The Freshbox 100 WiFi has <\/strong>an exhaust air temperature sensor located after the heat exchanger, which turns off the supply fan so that the warm exhaust air can heat the heat exchanger.
